The female orange weaver finch is a greenish-yellow with a white belly. The eye color of can be whitish or red, and the bill can be mostly pinkish.
Size: around 5” in length and 9-14grams
Diet: A mix of seeds, fruits, and insects, with quality finch seed mix, fresh greens (like spinach, kale), small amounts of fruit (berries, pulp), and live or freeze-dried insects (mealworms) for protein, with a focus on a high-quality base diet to maintain their vibrant color and high metabolism, supplemented with essential calcium (cuttlebone) and fresh water always available.
