Saddle Homer pigeons are known for both their distinctive color patterns and sturdy, endurance-driven bodies. They typically feature a broad, rounded chest, long and strong wings for distance flying, and a striking "saddle" mark on their backs.
Diet: they need a balanced diet of high-quality grains, legumes, seeds, and grit to maintain the stamina and muscle strength required for homing and flying. The core diet should consist of 13%–15% protein and 2.5%–5% fat, adjusted seasonally for breeding, racing, or resting 
Size: Medium-sized birds. Adults weight average between 1 to 1.2 pounds, with an overall physical length usually falling between 12 and 14 inches from beak to tail. Weight: Approximately 12 to 13 ounces
